Build Your Financial Future with Real Skills
Forget vague promises. Our program teaches practical budget planning through hands-on work with actual household scenarios. You'll learn systems that people actually use—not theory that sounds good but falls apart when bills arrive.
Starting September 2025, we're accepting 24 participants for our next cohort. Small groups mean you get attention when you're stuck, not automated responses.

What You'll Actually Learn
Six modules. Each one focused on skills you can put to work immediately. We built this after talking to dozens of people who struggled with traditional finance courses.
Income Mapping
Track irregular income without losing your mind. Freelancers and gig workers face different challenges than salaried folks—we cover both.
Expense Reality Check
Most people underestimate spending by 30%. We'll show you how to capture the real numbers without obsessive tracking that burns you out after two weeks.
Calendar Systems
When bills hit matters as much as how much they cost. Learn to build payment schedules that match your actual cash flow patterns.
Buffer Building
Emergency funds sound boring until your car breaks down. We'll help you create buffers that actually work with your current situation—not ideal scenarios.
Adjustment Protocols
Life changes. Your budget needs to flex without collapsing. Practice making shifts when income drops or expenses spike unexpectedly.
Long-Term Planning
Connect daily decisions to yearly goals. Not with intimidating spreadsheets—with simple quarterly check-ins that take 20 minutes.
Who's Teaching This
Our instructors have spent years in the trenches—helping real people sort out messy financial situations. They've seen what works and what sounds clever but fails when you try it at home.

Petra Walsh
Petra ran a community financial counseling service in Bendigo for eight years before designing this program. She got tired of seeing people take courses that taught perfect systems for perfect lives.
"Most budget advice assumes you have stable income, no dependents, and endless willpower," she says. "That's not reality for most folks in regional Australia."
Her approach centers on building systems that survive chaos—because that's when you need them most. She's blunt about what works and what doesn't, which students either love immediately or learn to appreciate by week three.
